Evening kids! You know, someone once told me that pesto was made out of stinging nettles. It was only recently I found out that they lied. It”™s a sad, demoralising world we live in when a man can innocently believe that a delicious accompaniment to pasta is something that it”™s not. To make myself feel better, I”™m OD”™ing on The Depreciation Guild. They right all wrongs, kids. Listen. Listen now.

Oh! Heard a pretty epic put-down today, and thought I”™d share:

James (posturing around like the elitist asshole he is): You”™re the punchbag, and I”™m”¦ what”™s the opposite?
Neil: The douchebag

Ouch.

Anyway, here”™s today”™s playlist courtesy of Mr. Andrew McKenzie.

So apparently making a playlist is not enough. Words are also required. So where to start? Whatever way you swing there should be something on here for you, Bass, beats and strings are all here.

Some standout tracks on here would have to be:

“Sweet Disposition” The Temper Trap. It”™s a great uplifting track perfect to pick you up.
“Electrolove” Minor Majority. Meloncoly at its best. If Emo kids could get over themselves they”™d get a haircut and listen to this.
“Quiet Little Voices” We Were Promised Jet Packs. Simply great, the composition on this is perfect.
“Hip Hop” Dead Prez. If you don”™t know this then you”™ve been living under a rock for the last 10 years. This still gets remixed today, Zane Lowe is a big fan.
“Pass Out” Tinie Tempah. Really into this track at the moment, bonus points for getting a mention in for Scunthorpe.
“Slow Songs” Giggs ft. Mike Skinner. Anything Mike touches turns to gold and he”™s helped produce an amazing track here with Giggs. Giggs will certainly be making a big name for himself, he”™s one to watch out for.
“Pon De Floor” Major Lazer. Just listen to it, you”™ll be hooked. Great use of effects.
